Reorder, rotate and delete PDF pages visually with thumbnails.Organize PDF
Organize PDF shows every page of your document as a thumbnail. Drag pages into a new order, rotate the ones that are sideways and delete the pages you do not need, then save a clean new PDF.
What does it mean to organize a PDF?
Organizing a PDF means changing how its pages are arranged without changing what is printed on them. You might need to move the summary to the front, put a signed page back where it belongs, turn a landscape table the right way up, or remove blank pages that a scanner added. A text editor cannot do this because a PDF is a finished layout, not a draft. A page organizer works at the page level: it treats every page as a card that you can pick up, turn around, move or throw away.
This tool shows each page of your document as a small preview. Because you can see the pages, you do not need to remember page numbers or type ranges. You simply look, drag and save.
Common reasons to reorder PDF pages
- Scans in the wrong order. When you scan a stack of paper by hand, it is easy to feed a page twice or out of sequence. Dragging the thumbnails fixes this in seconds.
- Sideways pages. Wide tables, charts and photos are often scanned in landscape and appear sideways. Rotate just those pages so the whole file reads naturally.
- Blank and duplicate pages. Double-sided scanning creates empty backs. Delete them to make the file shorter and more professional.
- Reports and proposals. Move the executive summary, price table or signature page to where the reader expects it.
- Merged documents. After combining several files, you may want to mix their pages into a better order before sending the result.
How to use the page organizer
After you select your PDF, the tool reads it in your browser and draws a thumbnail for every page. Each card shows the original page number in the corner, so you always know where a page came from. You can drag a card and drop it onto another position, or use the small arrow buttons to move it one step left or right. The round arrow button rotates a page by 90 degrees each time you click it, and the cross button removes it from the new document.
Three shortcut buttons sit above the pages. Reverse order flips the whole document, which is handy when a scanner fed the paper back to front. Rotate all turns every page at once. Reset brings back the original order and every deleted page, so you can experiment freely. When everything looks right, click the save button and download your new PDF.
What stays the same
The tool copies the original pages into a new file. It does not redraw or compress them, so text stays sharp and searchable, images keep their full quality and the file size stays close to the original. Only the order, rotation and the list of pages change. Your original file on your device is never modified, which means you can always start again from it.
Privacy and speed
Many PDF websites upload your document to a server before they can show thumbnails. That is slow on mobile data and risky for private papers such as contracts, medical records or identity documents. Here, everything is done on your own device. The thumbnails are drawn by your browser, and the final file is built in your browser too. Nothing is sent to us.
Very large documents with hundreds of pages take a little longer to display because every preview has to be drawn. The pages appear one after another, and you can start dragging the first ones while the rest are loading.
Tips for the best result
- Scroll through all thumbnails once before saving. Blank pages are easy to spot when you see them side by side.
- If you only need a few pages, the Extract PDF Pages tool may be faster than deleting many pages here.
- After organizing a scanned document, run it through Compress PDF if you need to send it by email.
- Rotating a page here changes how it is displayed. If a page is upside down in every viewer, rotate it by 180 degrees.
